One thing I've always loved about storytelling
One thing I’ve always loved about storytelling is that you get to choose something from the spaghetti of your life, and change the shape of it. You get to give it a beginning, a middle, and an end. You get to assign meaning, decide how it makes you feel, or how you feel about it on any given day, and then you get to, through your words and choices, convey that feeling to someone else.
I think the idea that life is lived forward isn’t as true as we think it is. I don’t think time is linear. But regardless, we seem to find ourselves constantly in the middle of a story, not knowing how it’s going to end, or even, particularly, where it’s going.
